STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Just in time for Football season, Starkville City crews are changing some city traffic patterns.

Workers removed the traffic light at the intersection of Lampkin and Lafayette Streets, and replaced it with a stop sign.

The intersection will now be a two way stop, with drivers on Lampkin Street having the right of way.

The move comes as Starkville Electric works to improve its infrastructure downtown. They are also replacing aging power poles in the area.
