Traffic Stop Leads to Clay County Meth Arrest

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — An early Tuesday morning traffic stop initiated by the Clay County Sheriff Department resulted in the arrest of Jamie Finch, 23, of 715 Cromwell Street, West Point.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott stated investigators recovered approximate 1 gram of methamphetamine along with related paraphernalia which is being analyzed by the Mississippi Crime Lab.

Finch has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Finch is currently incarcerated at the Clay County Detention Center where she is being held pending bond and has a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Her initial court appearance will be Thursday, March 6 at the Clay County Justice Court at 9 a.m.
