Traffic Stop Leads to Guntown Drug Arrest

GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI)  — A traffic stop leads to the arrest of a Guntown woman on drug charges.

Guntown police say they arrested Monica F. Ryals, 20, early Friday morning.

Ryals was stopped for speeding and an expired tag violation on Highway 348 and was found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Police say that she also appeared to be under the influence of a
controlled substance.

Ryals was taken into custody for possession of meth, possession of marijuana and several other misdemeanor violations.

Her bond was set at $10,000 by Municipal Court Judge David Daniels.
