Trailblazer Awards in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – It was a full house at the 10th annual Mississippi Trailblazer Awards Ceremony in Tupelo Saturday evening.

The event was held at the Bancorp South Conference Center and it was a great way for citizens in the community to come together and celebrate diversity.

“It allows people to put side political differences and racial differences, ethical differences and just come together to celebrate diversity. People aren’t different, everybody is the same, we all have the same goals for educations, for economic development and this is a great way for people to celebrate diversity which means we have more in common as I said than we do differences,” said Founder Rev. James Hull.

Awardees were presented with clock trophies which symbolizes that they know “what time it is”. Some of those acknowledged tonight included Allegra Brigham of Columbus, Judge James E. Graves from Clinton and Reverend Robert Jamison of New Albany.
