Tuition Rising In University Of Alabama System
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Tuition is going up for students in the University of Alabama System.
Trustees meeting Friday approved new fee structures for the campuses in Birmingham, Huntsville and Tuscaloosa.
Al.com (http://bit.ly/1ITJIyw ) reports tuition will increase by more than 3.5 percent for students at UAB and the University of Alabama.
At the main campus in Tuscaloosa, in-state undergraduates will pay $5,085 per semester for a full-time class load. The tuition for an out-of-state student is going up to $12,975. Those numbers don’t include room, board and other costs.
Tuition could actually decrease for some full-time students at the Huntsville campus because of a block tuition program already in place. The plan allows students taking from 12 to 18 hours a semester to pay the same flat rate.
