TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-Some Northeast Mississippi girls took the stage for a good cause.

The first “Little Miss Red, White, and Blue” Beauty Pageant was held Sunday at Mall and Barnes Crossing in Tupelo. Girls ages six months to thirteen competed for a crown. The ladies were judged on natural beauty, stage presence, and personality. WCBI’s Heather Black was one of the featured judges at today’s event. The pageant was a part of the “seven days for the troops” fundraiser that’s been going on all week. All proceeds from the pageant will go to veterans through the “Purple Heart” home building program.
