TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A coalition of business owners and managers in Tupelo’s North Gloster Street Business District have a formal name for their group and have elected a board of officers.

The business owners named their group, the “North Towne Business Association,” on Monday. The organization was formed shortly after last year’s devastating tornado, that struck the North Gloster business district.

The group has been meeting since, in an effort to develop plans to rebuild and improve the area in the aftermath of the tornado.

The chairman of the group is Bruce Patel, owner of Fusion Hospitality. Members will be instrumental in redeveloping the area, which lost several businesses in the tornado.
