Video: Tupelo CVB Honored by Mississippi Tourism Association

TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — For the second time in three years, the Tupelo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) has been named “CVB of the Year,” by the Mississippi Tourism Association, as part of its annual awards program. TCVB received this honor during the 26th Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism September 30 in Biloxi, MS.

“We are honored to be named ‘CVB of the Year’ by the Mississippi Tourism Association,” said Neal McCoy, Tupelo Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director. “I am proud of the accomplishments of our staff during the past year and we accept this award as a challenge to become an even better organization as we start a new fiscal year.”

Tupelo was recognized for several other awards during the banquet. The Tupelo Aquatic Center was named “Travel Attraction of the Year,” and #Hi5Friday received the inaugural “Social Media Campaign of the Year” award. TCVB’s new branding campaign was honored with the “Tourism Promotion of the Year” award.

The Mississippi Tourism Association is the state’s voice for the tourism industry, engaging in tourism promotion, advocacy, and education. The Governor’s Conference on Tourism is the premier educational conference for tourism and hospitality leaders in Mississippi’s tourism industry.
