TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — Week of the Family Tupelo congratulates this year’s essay winners and will reward them with cash prizes compliments of BancorpSouth and Renasant Bank.  A kick-off dinner and awards ceremony will be held tonight at 6:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1085 S. Thomas Street.
Week of the Family Tupelo continues their tradition of strengthening family relationships through education, wholesome activities, fitness and community service for it’s fourth year.
“We are so thankful for the many businesses and community members who help us provide free, family-friendly activities throughout the week,” said Week of the Family Chairperson, Gina Thorderson.
“The essays this year are priceless.  It’s always great to hear children express their love and gratitude for their families,” Thorderson continued.
Second grader, Rebecca Johnston, states, “I love my family because of the people in my family.”
Eva Clare Shelbourne loves her family because “there is no problem too big for them to fix and they are teaching me that there is no problem too big for me either.”
Avery Tate feels, “to have a father is to know that your clothes are beautiful on any given day.  To feel that you are never too big to be carried to bed and read a story.”
