TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The Tupelo Farmers Market has opened for the season under a new name.

It is now called the Tupelo Farmers Depot and it will be open Thursdays and Saturdays from 6am to 12pm and Tuesdays from 4pm to 7pm.

It will remain open until the end of October.

It is a project of the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and gives area residents the chance to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables and other items straight from local producers.

On Tuesday nights there will be live music, and catered dinners by local restaurants to allow customers to come after work.
