Tupelo Man Charged with Roofing Scandals

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tupelo man is behind bars after running a contracting scam.

The Tupelo Police Department arrested 25-year-old Richard Darby for allegedly contracting with two separate homeowners for roof repair, but not completing the work. Darby allegedly demanded upfront payment for the work, and never returned after.

Authorities charged him with a series of false pretenses.

Darby’s bond was set at $15,000.
