Tupelo Woman Arrested Again on Fraud Charges

AMORY, Miss. (Press Release) — Amory Police say Mary Ann Smith, 46, from Tupelo, was arrested on two counts of identity theft.

Police say she obtained a Social Security number from an individual and used it to open two loan accounts in Amory.

She was already out on bond from a previous charge of false pretense in Amory. Her first bond was revoked by Monroe County Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes. She is currently being held at the Monroe County Detention Center in Aberdeen.
