Video: Tupelo’s Ballard Park Hit by Vandals

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Vandals have struck again at a Tupelo park.

Over the weekend, officials with the Park and Rec Department say someone broke a concrete bench and lifted a table top from its leg at Ballard Park.

This past summer, Ballard Park and Veterans Park have both been hit by vandals. Damage has been reported in restrooms, at tennis courts and at portable toilets.

Officials are asking the public for help in catching those responsible for the vandalism and park and rec administrators are considering putting security cameras in parks next year.
