Two Area Residents Arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia

CALEDONIA, Miss. (Press Release) — Two area residents were arrested last week after Caledonia law enforcement discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in their vehicle.

Officers with the Caledonia Town Marhshal’s Department stopped to check on a disabled vehicle close to Caledonia High School. According to a press release, an officer approached the vehicle and discovered two individuals inside the vehicle.

The two individuals were identified as 22-year-old Caledonia resident Delany Brooke Flippo and 24-year-old Columbus resident John Tyler Helton.

The officer reported he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer discovered the individuals to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine following a search.

Lowndes County Narcotics Unit agents were notified, and proceeded to take over the narcotics investigation.

Both Flippo and Helton were placed under arrest and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Their bond was set at $5,000 each. Helton posted bail April 11, and Flippo posted bail April 14.
