Two Arrested For Drug Possession

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On March 30, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 25 South in Tishomingo County, for traffic violations.

During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed that the driver and passenger were acting strange, and because of this the deputy had the K9 Deputy to come to his location for assistance.

The deputies asked the driver for Consent to Search which was denied by the driver.

At this time the K9 handler conducted an outside vehicle search with his K9.

The K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics which then allowed the deputies to conduct a search of the vehicle.

The search yielded some alleged Marijuana, Methamphetamine, along with a syringe with what field tested to be alleged Methamphetamine.

At this time both the driver and the passenger were transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

The driver, Skyler Parson, 23-year-old white male, of 40 HarmonySKYLER PARSON Hill Road Burnsville, Mississippi, was officially charged with Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Bond was set on Parson in the amount of $7,500.00.

 

The passenger, Chelsie James, 22-year-old white female, of 1095 Hillcrest Street Cherokee, Alabama, was alsoCHELSIE JAMES officially charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Bond was set on James in the amount of $2,500.00.
