PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people are charged in connection with a deadly Calhoun County home invasion.

Rocdriques Denton, 24, and Vintrell Bobo, 21, are both charged with capital murder.

Denton is behind held in the Yalobusha County Jail for his safety.

Bobo remains in the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the side.

Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says Bobo is under guard at the hospital.

The home invasion happened early Tuesday morning, near Pittsboro.

Pollan says Denton and Bobo went into a home with assault style weapons.

Kenneth Patterson Jr., 27, was shot and killed inside the house. The other man who lived there was not injured.

Bobo was shot during the shootout and drove himself to a nearby hospital before being flown to Jackson.

It could be Thursday before the accused shooters are taken before a judge.
