Two Gordo Men Arrested In Recent Burglaries

GORDO, Ala. (WCBI) — Two men have been arrested by Gordo Police in relation to recent burglaries.

Taylor Reid Posey, 20, was charged with two counts of first-degree thefts, third-degree escape, and two counts of third-degree burglary on Friday.

Chief Todd Hall told Tuscaloosa news, Posey was being questioned and he escaped from the police after being told he was under arrest. He was apprehended at a nearby grain warehouse after the short foot pursuit.

Jonathan Dewayne Coleman, 36, was previously arrested for unrelated burglaries and thefts. Coleman is accused of two counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of criminal mischief.

Christmas gifts, electronics, and personal items including purses and wallets were reported stolen.

Hall encourages people to safeguard any possessions and be mindful that this is the time of the year that crimes go up.
