Two Indicted In July Slaying

PITTSBORO, Miss. (AP) – Two people have been indicted in the death of a man found on a Calhoun County road in July.

is charged with murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Billy Covington on July 11.

Covington’s body was found on County Road 308.

Investigators say Covington died of a gunshot wound.

The grand jury also indicted Ashley Hobson on a charge of accessory to murder.

Jones is also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

His bond has been set at $1.15 million.

Hobson’s bond was set at $500,000.
