Two Women Arrested For Bringing Contraband Into Jail

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Two women were arrested for bringing contraband into the Winston/Choctaw Regional Correctional Facility.
Warden Neal Higgason said the arrests came after two separate incidents this past Saturday.

Patricia O’Quinn is accused of bringing tobacco, marijuana, pills, rolling papers, and stocking caps into the jail.

The items were found during a pat down search and she never entered the visitation area, according to Higgason.

O’Quinn is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility and one count of non-allowed item.

In the second incident, Glenda Hill was charged with one count of non-allowed item.

Higgason said a jail officer noticed Hill attempting to pass an item to an inmate.

Higgason said the women have a lifetime ban on visiting the facility.

Jail officers are trained to watch for visitors bringing contraband into the jail.

Higgason says incidents such as these, make it more difficult for others to visit their loved ones.
