WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI)After seven months of talks, a near negotiation between the city of West Point and Comcast Cable ends with an ultimatum.

West Point selectmen gave the cable company 30 days to come to an agreement or remove their equipment from the city’s power poles.

The Cable company has refused to pay full price for access to the city’s power.

Back in November, the cable provider had agreed to pay the city 16 dollars to use the city’s power poles as opposed to the 50 dollars the company had been paying since the 1960’s.

The difference amounts to about $70,000 a year.
