Uncle Bunky Passes Away

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Robert “Bunky” Williams, 83, passed away Tuesday afternoon following a long illness.

A friend and champion of children, Uncle Bunky was known as the host of WCBI’s “Fun Time with Uncle Bunky” and for his “crazy” animals that he drew and shared with children in the audience in north Mississippi during the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.

Uncle Bunky also served the children of Lowndes County at the Lowndes County Sherifr’s Department and child protection unit.

Family members tell WCBI, he was surrounded by loved ones when he passed away at Baptist Golden Triangle.
