Union County Assault Results in Four Arrests

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A home invasion that occurred over the weekend in Union County leads to four arrests.

Joshua Craig Murry, 29, Greg Keith Canerdy, 28, and Damaris Browning, 33, are all charged with aggravated assault and burglary. Candice Nicole Gibson, 26, was initially charged with being an accessory after the fact and is being held in custody pending further investigation.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday on County Road 62. It is believed that the suspects entered the residence and stabbed the sleeping occupant numerous times in the chest.

The victim is reported to be in stable condition. His identity has not yet been released.

No one else in the dwelling was injured and no items were reported missing.

The victim was able to identify his attackers, which led to their arrest.

Bond for Murry, Canerdy and Browning was set at $70,000 a piece. Bond for Gibson is pending.
