Video: Update: Columbus Shooting Victim Released From Hospital

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A man shot in the arm is out of the hospital and Columbus police continue searching for the gunman.

Interim Police Chief Fred Shelton says the shooting happened in the 700 block of 18th Street North about 11:15 AM on Tuesday.

The victim told officers he was walking down the street when a man driving a black Nissan Altima and wearing a red shirt started shooting at him.

After being shot, the man ran to a house about two blocks away where someone called 911.

Investigators are still interviewing witnesses and trying to find a motive.
