Vardaman Armed Robbery Arrest
VARDAMAN, Miss. (WCBI) – A Vardaman man is in the Calhoun County jail, accused of robbing a convenience store with a knife.
Anthony Earl Pierce, 45, is charged with one count of armed robbery.
Vardaman Police Chief Kenneth Scott says investigators received a tip that Pierce borrowed the getaway vehicle caught on surveillance video.
Police found the vehicle and other evidence.
Pierce was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
A robber jumped on the counter inside Vardaman Express, with a knife, early Sunday morning and got away with about eight hundred 50 dollars.
Investigators found the knife at the store.
No one was injured.
