Vehicle Flipped in Afternoon Accident

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A lunchtime accident turned a Columbus driver’s afternoon upside down.

The crash happened about noon Thursday. According to witnesses, a grey GMC pick-up was crossing 18th Avenue North at Old Aberdeen Road when it clipped a black Chevy Tahoe headed east on 18th Avenue.

The Tahoe flipped, coming to rest at the corner of Old Aberdeen Road at the Cash in A Flash building.

One driver was treated at the scene for what appeared to be minor injuries.

Columbus police are investigating the accident.
