Update: Sulligent Teen Killed In Crash

VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – A Sulligent teenager was killed in an early Thursday morning accident.

Lamar County Coroner Alan Chandler says Bryce Myles, 16, died at the scene of the crash.

The one vehicle accident happened about 8 AM, near the intersection of County Roads 36 and 49.

State troopers say Myles was a passenger in a truck that left the road in a curb and hit two trees.

He would have been a senior this fall at Lamar County High School, where he played football and basketball.

The driver of the pick-up, 16 year-old Temijah Lang, was taken to Winfield Medical Center.

Troopers didn’t have an update on his condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

HAMILTON POST – A single-vehicle crash at 7:40 a.m. today, June 25, claimed the life of a Sulligent teen. Bryce Elijah Myles, 16, was killed when the 2004 Chevrolet Colorado in which he was a passenger left the roadway in a curve and struck two trees. Myles was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck’s driver, Temijah Jarell Lang, 16, of Sulligent was transported to Winfield Medical Center in Winfield. The crash occurred on Lamar County 36 just west of Lamar County 49, ten miles south of Sulligent. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
