Vernon to Get Splash Pad at Park

VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) — Children in Vernon, Alabama will have a fun way to cool off when the weather warms up again this spring.

Construction is now underway for a splash pad at Vernon City Park.

City leaders have been discussing the project for about two years.

It’ll cost $120,000. $50,000 will come from grant money, and the rest from the city.

The splash pad should be complete by late March, in time for little league baseball season.
