Verona Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

VERONA, Miss. – (WCBI) A man suspected of holding up on a store in Verona is behind bars Friday night.

According Chief Anthony Anderson, Willie Sykes was arrested and charged with armed robbery this afternoon.

On Sunday, Verona Police were called to the Super C Tobacco Store after the robbery.

Chief Anderson says surveillance video from the store led them to Sykes. He is being held in the Lee County Detention Center.
