Video: Veterans’ Exhibit in Columbus Welcomes New Addition

COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) Another piece of American war history is now on display in Columbus.

At a ceremony in the halls of the Municipal Complex, the Tuskegee Airmen were honored for their service.

Alva Temple, one of the famed airmen who flew in 120 missions during World War II was memorialized, and is now included in the Veteran’s exhibit.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American military pilots to serve in the American armed forces. Temple, of Columbus, died in 2004 at the age of 86.
