LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Some of Mississippi’s finest 4-H students are touring the state.

Wednesday morning they stopped at 4-County Electric for a visit.

It’s part of their state conference and bus tour.

The top 4-H students in the state get to participate.

Students are learning about the structure and goals of business cooperatives.

“My 4-H experience has been everything to me. I started when I was four and this is my fourteenth year in 4-H. Growing up in it my whole life has made me who I am,” said Marella Failla of Hancock County.

“4-H is a great opportunity. It helps me develop my communication skills in what I want to do in life and in my career, so it really helps you grow,” said Aleah Jamison of Lowndes County.

This week the 4-H’ers will also visit a farmer’s supply, grain terminal, a cotton gin and the state capitol.
