ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Aberdeen could become the 40th city in the state to have some kind of ban on electronic cigarettes.

Tuesday night aldermen will consider a ban similar to one approved two months ago by Tupelo.

Under that ordinance, tobacco shops and businesses that generate more than 50 percent of their business from the sale of the electronic tobacco substitutes can allow their use on their premises.

The e-cigs, as they are known, would be banned from use in other businesses, including convenience stores.
