AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — An American Idol contestant is performing for his family restaurant in Amory.

Trent Harmon is singing for customers at the Longhorn Fish and Steakhouse Friday night.

He’s competing in the last season of the popular singing show.

Harmon recently made it through a group round in Hollywood in an episode that aired Thursday night.

He impressed the American Idol judges with his performance, even though he had mono.

Harmon tells WCBI Elvis Presley is his favorite singer.
