Video: Amish Buggy Death Update

PONTOTOC, Miss.(WCBI)–A deadly weekend crash involving 20-10 Chevy Silverado Pickup truck that apparently slammed into the back of an Amish horse and buggy is ruled an accident.

Around 9-30 Saturday morning Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop F responded to the scene of the saturday morning wreck in the westbound lane of Highway 278 near Rogers Furniture.

26 year old Joseph Hostetler and the horse pulling his buggy died of injuries received. According to highway patrolman Chris Hodges, the driver of the pickup apparently was not paying attention to the road.

The victim’s wife, 23 year old Emma Hostetler and their two year old son were also injured in that buggy accident. The two are expected to make a full recovery. MHP did not say whether or not any charges will be filed against the driver of the pickup.
