COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The deadline to adopt an angel is fast approaching and the Salvation Army needs your help to make sure no child is left out at Christmas.
Around 75% of the Salvation Army angels have been adopted already.

The Salvation Army in Columbus tells WCBI the response from the community has been great but now they want to make sure all the gifts for the adopted angels make it back in time.

“It is extremely critical to get your angel toys and clothes back in because this may be all these kids get for Christmas. So, please get it back. I just want to say a big thank you to everybody who has helped,” said Major Cheryl Phillips with the Columbus Salvation Army.
Friday is the deadline to have your angel items back but if you need an extension on that date, call the local salvation army office.

The angel trees are still set up at the Leigh Mall.
