Video: Another Candidate Out of Transportation Commissioner Race

HERNANDO, Miss. (WCBI) — The race for Northern District transportation commissioner is getting smaller.

Hernando Mayor Chip Johnson announced, Wednesday, he isn’t running anymore.

Johnson was one of three people originally challenging incumbent Mike Tagert in the Republican primary in August.

Geoffrey Yoste already dropped out of the race earlier this month.

Now both Yoste and Johnson are backing Tagert.

Jimmy Mills, of Lee County, is still running against him.

Danny Woods, of Winona, is running as a Democrat.
