CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Cattleman from throughout North Mississippi gathered at the annual Cattleman’s College in West Point Wednesday morning.  Participants had the opportunity to learn about the most current cattle management and industry issues that could possibly impact operations.

The topics discussed ranged from herbicide selection and grazing efficiency to cattle health. The day-long seminar took place at the Town Creek Farms. Organizers say it’s just one way to learn how to produce a better product.

” We’re all about producing quality product for the world. Grazing is part of it. You’ve got to have good forage to produce and good beef.”

There will be another cattleman’s session at Mathis Farms in Brookhaven on Thursday.
