Video: Area Residents Lodge Complaints Against Debris Removal Contractors

NORTHEAST MISS. (WCBI) — It was bound to happen. And tornado cleanup coordinators in Winston and other communities say they are trying to work out solutions.

Some residents in Winston, Lee, Itawamba and Lowndes Counties have complained that debris removal contractors have picked up trees the landowners had hoped to sell for timber.

Coordinators in the counties say most of the cases are misunderstandings over rights of way. They say they are trying to clarify the issue with debris contractors to avoid further conflicts.
