WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Webster County Sheriff and local utilities are warning residents about people coming to your front door to do electrical work.

Webster deputies say a blonde women and two Hispanic men in a white pickup truck claimed to be with the Natchez Trace Electric Power Association have burglarized four homes. At least two hundred dollars worth of money and jewelry were taken.

Sheriff Tim Mitchell has some advice if you come across the suspects or anyone suspicious.

“Keep your door locked, call your electric company, and see if that’s a legit person that’s come to your house. If you have any suspicions at all, just keep your door locked, call the law enforcement and let us get out and get them checked out before they leave.”

No arrests have been made. If you have any information about the thieves call law enforcement.
