Video: Armed Robbery Claim Leads to Kidnapping Arrest in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A convicted sex offender is charged with kidnapping and sexual battery after claiming he was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening.

Forty four year old Stephen Tucker is charged in connection with an incident police say occurred April 17th at an East Main Street motel.

Tucker called officers Wednesday night, claiming he went to meet a woman at a South Gloster Street motel when three men rushed out of the bathroom and robbed him.

An investigation led police to charge Tucker in connection with sexual battery and kidnapping. Bond is set at 250 thousand dollars.
