Oakland, MS (WCBI) – A serial gas station thief is believed to be on the loose in Oakland after an early morning robbery seems to be identical to a January robbery that took place in the same store.
Oakland police chief, Russ Smith, reported an armed man entered the store at 3:26 am on Wednesday, waved his gun at the clerk and demanded money. The gunman got away with several hundreds in cash and cigarettes valued at $236.
Smith says similarities between this robbery and the one in January is a white getaway vehicle caught on surveillance cameras. The police chief urges anyone with information regarding this robbery to contact the Oakland police department or Yalobusha crime stoppers.
