SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI) — Saltillo schools start back Thursday, and authorities are warning of possible traffic delays.

Saltillo Police Chief Grant Bailey is telling primary school parents to expect to expect traffic delays and limited parking tomorrow.

Authorities say construction in an area already known for its occasionally dense traffic is a significant factor in the expected delays.

Officers will be out Thursday directing traffic to parking areas near the school’s softball fields.

Bailey also said children will not be counted tardy for Thursday, and urges parents to take their time to prevent any possible wrecks or injuries.
