MOOREVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Mooreville Elementary students and their parents get in the holiday spirit tonight at Christmas Family Reading Night. Story teller Brenda Pritchett shared a few Christmas tales with the group, that could help the kids in the classroom.

Parent involvement coordinator, Jodie Boyd said, “She is here telling Christmas stories and sharing with parents ways to help their children at home with comprehension and different strategies we have, make it take items that she’s brought to share with the parents and the kids so they will make and take some neat ideas home as well as go away with some fun Christmas story experiences as well.”

Organizers say it’s important for children to listen to a story teller, letting them know how to make words come alive.
