FULTON, MISS. (WCBI) – Bond is denied for an Itawamba County man accused of sexually assaulting his stepson.

Twenty nine year old Jeffrey Bryan Rakestraw was arrested early Saturday morning, after his wife called the sheriff’s office.

Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson says evidence showed Rakestraw sexually abused his 3 year old stepson at their home.

Rakestraw was arrested and is charged with two counts of statutory rape and 5 counts of molestation.

Sheriff Dickinson says the attorney general’s office also had a warrant for Rakestraw’s arrest relating to child porn charges.

“I’ve been doing this going on 20 years now and there are some crimes you never get used to, this is one of them, that’s why we are going to do everything in our power to take him off the streets and make sure he doesn’t harm anyone else,” Sheriff Dickinson said.

Sheriff Dickinson says more charges could be filed after investigators search Rakestraw’s computers, camera and a phone. The FBI and Attorney General are also investigating Rakestraw.
