STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI) — It was the “Prize Patrol” with more cowbell on Mississippi State University’s campus. It wasn’t exactly Publishers Clearinghouse, but they did have a big check for a lucky student.

The Mississippi State Alumni Delegates held a raffle for one semester of tuition, and Monday they went to surprise Ross Bell in class.

This is the second semester that the Alumni Delegates have held the raffle, and it’s proving to be a success.

“Right now we are in the process of fulfilling our endowment, so that we can give the scholarship in addition to the tuition,” Alumni Delegates Secretary Amari Kimble said.

Bell, a member of the MSU golf team, was with the team, and not in class when the Prize Patrol dropped in.
