Video: CAFB and Caledonia Join For Land Use Study

CALEDONIA, Miss. – (WCBI) Residents in Caledonia had the chance better understand an ongoing Joint Land Use Study.

Matrix Design Group, who handled the initial study and is also handling the implementation plan, made a brief presentation, and also fielded questions from participants.

The study aims to better communications between areas near the Columbus Air Force Base. Officials are working to ensure the base’s operations are not interfering with surrounding communities.

The joint land use study kicked off in 2011, when the Department of Defense awarded the base with a $213,800 grant.
