Video: Calhoun City Contracts with MPS to Collect Fines

CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WCBI) -Calhoun City residents can now set up payment plans if they get behind on their fines. The city is contracting with Mississippi Probation Services to keep citizens alert and aware on how much they owe.

When a defendant can’t pay their fine, the case will be turned over to Mississippi Probation Services. They will remain on probation until the fine is paid in full.

If the defendant misses a payment, then an arrest warrant will be issued.

The city began the new plan in November.
