ACKERMAN, Miss. (WCBI) — Choctaw County Supervisors have narrowed their search down to four. The Board is closer to finding a management company to take over operation of the Choctaw County Medical Center and Nursing Home. Pioneer Health Services cancelled their management contract for the facility.

Supervisors met with representatives of Noble Health Care of St. Louis, Sunflower Management out of Sunflower County, Trilogy Health Services, and Rush Hospital out of Meridian at a special meeting today. They asked each of the companies to submit formal proposals by June 9th, from there they will narrow the field.

“The next thing we have to do is to hire the management company that will help us; lead us forward to making our facility operate as efficiently as it can,” said Board President, Chris McIntyre.

Supervisors are up against an August First deadline to hire a firm to manage the medical center and Nursing home.
