Video: Closing Arguments Slated to Start Friday in Murder Trial of Starkville Man

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Closing arguments will begin Friday afternoon in the murder trial of a 22-year-old Starkville man. Dennis Thompson, who was 18 at the time, is accused of murder in the May 2010 shooting death of 25-year-old Curtis Randle outside a Starjkville party venue following a graduation party. He also is charged with aggravated assault in the wounding of three bystanders. Testimony closed today with the Oktibbeha County jury watching a video of an interview investigators did with Thompson after his arrest. He has claimed self defense.
If convicted of murder, he faces up to life in prison. The jury will return at 1 Friday afternoon for closing arguments.
