Video: Update: Child Breaks Finger After Being Struck By Car

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-A 13 year-old Columbus boy on a bike gets a shock he hadn’t expected. Just after six last night on the corner of 7th Avenue and 12th Street North the boy was riding his bike and told officers he was going too fast to stop at a stop sign. The boy rode into traffic where he says he did not see the SUV which hit him. Fortunately, he only suffered a broken finger.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It happened just before six at the corner of 7th Avenue and 12th Street North.  Witnesses say the boy was riding his bicycle, when he was struck by the Ford S-U-V. The child was transported to Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle, where his condition is unknown. Columbus police continue to investigate the crash.
