COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Road work projects should begin September in Columbus.

City Project Manager Robyn Eastman will meet with councilmen this week to finalize road, sidewalk and drainage projects in their wards by Friday.

The city will use $5 million in bonds. Contracts could be awarded in August.

The timetable was finalized today. Each councilman will have $750,000 for work in their wards, and they agreed to work on the city’s busiest roadways first.
